Maria's Corner
Mercury Retrograde - Friend or Foe?

Prepare yourself for mercury retrograde May 26-June 19th. This one will be a real crazy one!

The planet mercury rules communication, travel, contracts, automobiles and the written word. It goes in a retrograde motion or backwards three times a year for approximately three weeks at a time. When mercury is retrograde, there's a lot of confusion. People forget things. There are delays and frustrations.

You should never start anything new when mercury goes retrograde. But you can still put this astrological aspect to good use. You need to learn to work with the energy of mercury rather than against it.

I have a few stories to share with you about mercury retrogrades. I had a rental house that I needed to rent ASAP. It was costing me money to leave it empty. Of course I was eager to get someone moved in. My realtor did background and credit checks on all of the applicants. We found, what I thought, was a great, capable young couple. I knew I should never sign contracts on a retrograde, but I was impatient. I couldn't and wouldn't wait a month later to sign a lease. The couple eagerly signed on the dotted line. I kept my fingers crossed. The next month, their rent was two weeks late. Two months later, they trashed the place, placed bills illegally in my name, moved out with no notice and filed for bankruptcy so we couldn't sue them. From that moment on, I promised myself I would never sign another contract on a mercury retrograde and I never did. Years before this incident and before I even knew what a mercury retrograde was, I had wanted to buy a home. My husband and I made an offer on this wonderful place during a June mercury retrograde. The offer was declined. We asked for a counter offer. None was forthcoming. Realtors couldn't hook up with the owners. There was a lot of miscommunication. The homeowners left the state on vacation for a few weeks. It took us until October to get a response and finally, a "yes" after re-writing the original offer three times!

My friend and fellow astrologer Cindy should have known better. She started a new job on the first day mercury went retrograde. She asked me how I felt the new position would go. "You won't stay there, I told her. It's a mercury retrograde." The next day she quit! This same gal actually had a lot of nerve trying to tempt fate. She went out and bought a new car on another retrograde. It broke down on the expressway on the drive home from the dealer's. It stayed parked in her garage until mercury went direct. It was weeks before her car problems were solved. Her excuse for buying on a mercury retrograde: her husband was buying the car and she didn't want him to back out of the offer!

Now, you can't stop your life just because a mercury retrograde rolls around. There's things you can't avoid or put off. But if you do have time to plan ahead, you can save yourself a lot of headaches. Since mercury also rules travel and trips, it is not a good time to travel unless you have backup plans. Expect delays, double check your hotel accommodations beforehand (and the day of) and clarify everything with everyone.

Things Not To Do During Mercury Retrogrades

DON'T

  • Start anything new

  • Make important decisions

  • Buy computers, appliances, TVs, radios, etc.

  • Travel without back-up plans

  • Sign Contracts

  • Buy a car

  • Expect things to move quickly

  • Take anything for granted

  • Negotiate a contract

  • File a lawsuit

  • Start a new job

  • Begin a new class

  • Go on a "first" date

What You can Expect

  • Angrier people

  • Crazy drivers

  • More accidents

  • Miscommunication

  • Quarrels

  • Computer problems and breakdowns

  • Delays

  • More mistakes

  • Slow mail

  • Playing Phone tag

  • Wrong directions

  • Missed appointments

  • Dead cell phone batteries

Anything you start will have to be re-done or revised. If you begin a big project during one of these periods, it will go over budget and take longer than expected. What is mercury retrograde good for? If you understand the cycles of the mercury retrograde, which appear about every three months, you can work with, rather than against the flow of mercury's energy. Remember the "re" in retrograde. These weeks are good for re-doing just about anything.

DO

  • Re-apply for a job

  • Re-do hair color

  • Re-write your resume

  • Review your bank account

  • Renew a loan

  • Repair your car

  • Re-contact past clients

  • Research

What To Do If You Can't Postpone or Delay Activity

  • Read and re-read contracts. Have someone else look them over too.

  • Check your travel plans several times.

  • Ask questions over and over if you need to during negotiations

  • Mail packages and letters early. Check the zip codes.

  • Fill your gas tank

  • Don't check luggage when you're flying. Carry on everything if you can.

  • If you are making purchases, keep your sales receipt and know the store's return policy.

  • Keep your cell phone battery charged

  • Watch your driving

There are some people who never seem to be affected during this period. Chances are they were born when mercury was retrograde. Millions of people are born during these times. How do these weeks affect them? Well, mercury retrograde babies thrive. Things appear easier for them and run smoothly. They get the new job, start building the new house and travel to Vegas. It's okay to push forward in the outside world. If you're one of these people, you'll have the edge on everyone else! How do you find out? Your astrology chart will indicate if mercury was retrograde when you were born. Here's the other times for 2004 when mercury is retrograde

Blessings, Maria

Tidbits From Sexy Sag Joe
The Ghost Hunt in Grand Rapids

Joe's Point of View

Grand Rapids here we come....  Matt and I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time and to be honest I really thought that we would get there and not really see very much, just sort of a fun little ghost getaway.  HOW WRONG I WAS...

The trip started awesome, Matt and I driving there, Matt whining about the country side as the poor city boy was not used to just land and trees and cows.  I never heard so much whining from him in my life. We finally arrived and Danielle came out to greet us with her husband.  Now keep in mind that Danielle and I have known each other and even worked with each other for over 14 years so it was really good to see her, not to mention the fact that on a smart A$$ scale she almost compared to me.  The keyword there is ALMOST.  We all went to the local Applebee's where apparently it was country anniversary night with all the people in fancy city clothes in there.  We talked about the activity in the house and what we were planning on doing as we were also waiting on one of Maria Shaw's psychics to show up as she loves to ghost hunt and was willing to help us out.

We got back to the house after an excursion to the local Wal-Mart, where Danielle proceeded to lay into Manly Matt and fire off insults right and left (in Matt's defense he handled her foul mouth well).  I was the first one in to Danielle's sons bedroom, where a lot of the activity happens with my trusty handy cam and camera.  The minute I walked in something FLEW out of that room, so fast that I couldn't snap a shot off.  Matt came flying in but it was to late.  So I ran down stairs (no Idea why I did) but I started taking photos of everything.  Honestly not a whole lot, but when I took some photos out side a lot of strange orbs kept coming up in the shots.  Now they like to tease me because I pretty much explained away every orb, but Matt kept arguing with me that they were orbs, not moisture like I said it was (I will argue this till my dying day, it was MOISTURE) Just call me the sexy skeptic I guess.

Amy Donahue showed up about twenty minutes later, then everything changed.  She went around the perimeter of the house planting crystals or something, not really sure as I was not out there.  They came back in and we all talked about what my pictures really were.  Everybody (except me) were convinced it was orbs.  All of us went into Danielle's sons room to ask the spirit to communicate with us, so we would ask if somebody was in this room please make a noise.  The only noise we caught was Matt's stomach growling (true story).

All of the others then went downstairs, except Danielle and I.  We stayed upstairs and just talked, then about one o'clock I felt funny. Danielle looked worried and I heard something then Danielle said did you just hear a baby cry.  I still don't know how to answer that as I know I heard something at the same time but not really sure what it was.  Then the phone rang for no reason, then we heard all the baboons downstairs going nuts, Matt came flying up the stairs and said you two got to see this.

We made our way downstairs, when we got there I didn't want to move and neither did Danielle.  I finally broke free from that feeling (OK, Danielle made me move) and we saw Amy holding an EMF meter.  EMF stands for Electric Magnetic Field, which is used to detect energy in the air or on an object where no energy should be.  Amy was asking is there somebody with us tonight and the light on the EMF would shine really bright.  Then she asked are you the ghost that is bothering the child, again light jumping (speaking of jumping Matt and Amy's husband were hopping up and down like chimpanzees on the couch over every question it answered). I had been holding dowsing rods which are used  to find any energy source.  They then asked if you are here point them at Joe, they moved right to my chest.  And then they said point to Danielle again they moved towards her.  To kinda sum this up, it happened to be Danielle's Uncle who was with us and had been watching over the child and Danielle.

I cannot tell you the sensation of what it feels like to have a ghost touch you, everybody said I freaked out.  I didn't, but when we were done, I was shot.  I couldn't hardly move I was so tired.  I don't know why I felt that way, but I couldn't get it together.  Then I had to drive three hours back home.  I know what I saw and felt that night, so I know it was true, but I have to say, and I stand by this.  I do not think for one minute that it was just Danielle's Uncle in that room, it had way to much energy to communicate.  There has been other activity since, so I do believe we will be going back soon.  If you would like to hear about that trip, stay tuned.

Joe-

Matt's Musings
Some Things From Whiny Pisces Matt

The Ghost Hunt from Matt's Point of View

Joe and I have been asked quite a bit about our Ghost Hunt at his friends house in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It turned out to be quite an eventful night for two wannabes like ourselves.

We left around 4 pm...just in time for the Metro Detroit rush-hour(s) traffic, grrrrr (We're really smart with planning)...and began the "3 hour tour".

Joe and I were pretty excited about the chance to go on our first "real" ghost hunt with Paranormal Investigator and friend of the show, Amy Donahue. We had always done "ghost hunts", but for me at least, it was always an amature thing or an excuse to stay out late after the bar and act stupid hoping for a cheap scare!

As we made our way farther north and deeper into what seemed like the middle-of-nowhere, the anticipation mounted. I kept on thinking what I would do if I saw anything. I always try to think of myself as a "tough guy" before new or uncertain situations, but seriously, what the hell would I do if I saw something? Knowing my luck, I would probably do something stupid like running away like a girl or literally wetting my pants! I was also curious for Joe's reaction. Joe a lot of times comes off as very calm, almost intense, but is also very sensitive. To be honest...and he doesn't know this...I kind of wanted to seem him get freaked-out (sorry, Joe!)

We FINALLY made it up to the house around 7:30pm, where we met Joe's friend Danielle and her husband. It was a beautiful house.  A couple years old, with a big back-yard and woods behind it. When we walked in, Joe said he started to feel strange right off the bat, and claimed that he saw "something move" in their son's room. He literally ran right in and just stood there looking around. I followed him, but was admiring all the cool toys the kid had! His room was really cool, but we were there to do a job! No time to play!

Amy and her husband met us up a couple hours later around 11pm. Danielle gave us the info on what had been happening before we started. To PREFACE (Maria's favorite word, lol!), Danielle's son had been saying he'd seen a "man" or a "man with a hammer" since he was able to talk and back at there old house. He also claimed his toys would move by themselves, and that his little toy-guitar would start playing by itself!!! How he didn't completely freak-out is beyond me. He's more brave than MANY people much older than he is...heck, he's more brave than most people I know! Danielle had also explained that she had had some weird experiences herself...mostly strange feelings, alarms going off at weird tim= es or for no reason, only to have the alarm company say they had NO IDEA what was causing it! Whatever this was though, seemed to follow them she said.

Anyway, we started with Joe and I going down in the basement. Right from the moment we got down there, we both felt "weird"...you know the indescribable strange feelings, a "heaviness", cold-spots, etc. I'm normally not very sensitive to that kind of stuff, so it took me a bit by surprise. We took some photos with his digital camera, but only got a few orbs.

Amy and her husband started walking throughout the house and outside with a camera and EMF (Electro Magnetic Frequency) Detector. Joe and I followed and the first couple hours were uneventful, though Joe kept on telling me, "something doesn't feel right". Nothing out of the ordinary happened though.

Amy, her husband and I made our way into the woods behind the house. We walked in about 15 yards and noticed deeper in the woods, a faint-fuzzy light blue and white light or haze. It seemed to float or "dance" in the distance and change color between a light blue, a darker blue and white. We stood back there trying to figure out what the hell it was and I was pretty intrigued and excited. We had Danielle's husband come back with us and he took a look. After a minute, he says "Guys. There is a house in that direction of the woods. I think it's the guys TV!"....Ehhhh heh heh, I'm an idiot...MOVING ON!!!

We decided after that, to go go back inside and go into the son's room where a lot of the activity had been taking place. We turned out all the lights in the room and sat down with the EMF Detector. We all sat silently hoping to hear a strange noise or see something. As Amy starts to ask the "entity" questions, we heard noises...but NOPE...no ghost! My FREAKING stomach decided to start growling louder than I have ever heard! Son of a b!@$&!!! Right when we needed to be dead silent in the middle of an investigation, MY stomach decided to be stupid! Outside of that, there was not much activity and only a few "flickers" on the EMF.

From there, we went back into the basement and sat in the area directly underneath the son's bedroom. Again, not much activity for about the first 45 minutes. I'm sitting there thinking "Crap! We're not going to get anything, we won't be able to help Danielle and her family and the only 'strange' thing would be my stupid stomach". But then things got interesting!!!

Amy had Danielle's husband go over some of the experiences the family had been having...the "Man with the hammer", the guitar playing by itself, etc. As he was talking, the EMF Detector would go off when certain things were said. This wasn't random flashes, but repeated flashing on the EMF, ONLY when the same words were said. Those words were the son's name, their Uncle who had passed years earlier and Beaver Island where they had also experienced some of the paranormal activity. We were pretty sure we were making a connection, but wanted to be positive. Amy told the "entity" that to communicate to us specifically through the EMF after questions...Distinct flashes for "yes". Nothing for "no".

Sure enough, the questions were being asked, and SPECIFICALLY after each one, if there was a "yes", the EMF went off. Keep in mind now, that the ONLY time the EMF went off was ONLY after certain questions. There was some sort of intelligent response! This wasn't just random, arbitrary flashing. We would purposely take a minute to NOT ask a question to see if the EMF would still flash without questioning, and there was NOTHING. The EMF might as well been turned off. We also asked TONS of questions that we knew would not have a "yes" answer to see if it would still flash. NOTHING! It was incredible, because the ENTIRE night, the EMF was dead. But now, we seemed to be having an intelligent conversation with something or somebody!

Through the questioning, we found out that the "entity" was their Uncle Bill...who lived...and died on Beaver Island! The "man with the hammer" had finally made sense, because it was revealed that Uncle Bill worked construction or carpentry and ALWAYS was with a hammer! The son, as a little kid loved to play with a toy hammer and we found out through our "conversation" that Uncle Bill was trying to make a connection with his Great-Nephew through holding a hammer! Again, these were verified "yes" answers that flashed the EMF ONLY when there was the question.

One by one, we asked questions and learned a lot, as Danielle was able to verify answers to certain things that we would not know. As we were doing this, Joe brought out Amy's Dousing-Rods. The theory behind these is that when they spin by themselves in your hands, it is evidence of paranormal activity. Joe held the "L" shaped rods in his hands and pointed them out like he was pointing a gun, and as soon as he held them out, the rods started moving! It was as if an invisible person was standing there spinning the rods. We would ask the rods to point to Joe. They would! We asked them to spin and they would! We asked if it was Uncle Bill who was moving them, and the EMF Detector started flashing and the rods spun simultaneously, as if to say "YES"! It was amazing.

I was always kind of skeptical of dousing rods myself. I had to try them. I took them from Joe, held them just as Amy said and from the moment I took them, I felt a STRONG energy or something. It felt as if they could literally jump out of my hands by themselves! Soon enough, the things started spinning! I'm standing there, holding them and watching as they move by themselves. I couldn't believe it. Again, we asked them to point to me and they did. I then asked them to point to Danielle and her husband who were sitting on a couch to the right of me. The two rods slowly moved counter-clockwise and pointed to the right...one at Danielle, one at her husband!!! If I was not there, I probably wouldn't of believed it, hell I was trying to figure out  if I believed it while standing there, but it happened!

The good thing about it, was that Danielle and her husband finally seemed to be at peace! I think that's what they, or anybody who has paranormal activity want...peace and an answer.

After about an hour and a half of some amazing activity, I could feel the Dousing rods kind of go "limp". It was as if they had been sucked dry of whatever energy it had and they stopped moving. The EMF Detector also went quiet. Amy said she felt that Uncle Bill had left. He had made his connection and was happy that Danielle was at peace. The night had ended.

It turned out to be an incredible evening and our first real ghost hunt went great! A lot of people might be skeptical and I understand. But I was there, I saw it and all I can say is SOMETHING tried to communicate.

As a bonus, Joe and I didn't freak!!! WOW, didn't realize I wrote this much. Hope you enjoyed...

Books To Read

Maria Shaw's Star Gazer
Reviewed By: Terra Graves

Though Maria Shaw's Star Gazer is marketed for teens, it is a must read for any adult into metaphysical subjects.  Right from the jammed packed astrology section to the part about developing psychic abilities, you won't be able to put this book down.

For example, in the chapter called "Written in the Stars", using astrology in real life, Maria Shaw has packed in complex information along with the basic knowledge we would except to find for astrology signs. She did the basic overall view like every other book does but she also included compatible love signs, best traits, worst traits and careers to consider for each sign.  Maria even included the Decans; which are the three periods which zodiac signs are divided into, for each sign as well.  If you are like me, this section will be a huge help in not only understanding yourself but understanding family and friends better.

In other sections, Maria goes over dreams, palm reading and even tarot cards.  Each chapter gives so much information you begin to feel like you brought several books instead of one.  The only draw back was the lack of tarot spreads and charts which easily could be included in an updated version of this book.

Overall I was happy and very surprised by what I found in Star Gazer and am still amazed it was labeled a 'teen only' book.  It is a must have and a great source of information for anyone into metaphysical subjects.

You can order your copy of Star Gazer by going to Maria Shaw's website or by clicking the URL below:

My Interview With Samantha Vandefeller
Co-President of The Maria Shaw Fan Club, Tarot Reader, & Writer
By: Terra Graves

Terra Graves: I know you like to do different readings, what kinds have you done before in the past and which is your favorite?

Samantha V:  This is a really good question.  Oracle Cards are nice because they seem to be very uplifting and they don't focus on the negatives and sometimes people need a lift.  Tarot is a nice tool too since you can see different outcomes of possible paths you can take.  Sometimes it does confirm what I already picked up clairvoyantly since I'm still learning my own abilities.  I am currently studying numerology.  They all have something different and unique to offer and I just couldn't choose one!

Terra Graves: Has what kind of readings you like or want to do changed since becoming co-president of the fan club?

Samantha V:  No not really.  I just have less time to do readings for people because I work an office job Monday-Friday(which is mentally exhausting!),.  I write for the fan club newsletter and I am currently working on my new website where I will offer readings and showcase my writing.  I love to write!

Terra Graves: :)  I know you love to write which brings me to my next question.  When did you realize you love it so much?

Samantha V:  I've always told stories for as long as I could talk.  When I finally learned how to write in first grade, I used to love to write short stories.  Whenever there was a writing assignment in school my teachers just loved reading what I wrote.  I can remember in 2nd grade writing a puppet show script and in fourth grade I did a parody of Sleeping Beauty called "Snoring Beauty" and everyone loved it.  I wrote a variety of things from poetry, which helped me in my teenage years, to fiction, romance/erotica stories to articles on my blog.

Terra Graves: So do you plan on ever letting us read your poetry or "Snoring Beauty" in the newsletter or on your website?

Samantha V: Well...laughs.  I sadly don't have my Snoring Beauty story anymore or it is packed away with my old school papers my parents kept over the years.  But maybe I will share the poetry.  Maybe I'll even write a poem for the fan club and Maria! laughs.

Terra Graves:  Laughs.  Was your family always into metaphysical  stuff when you were growing up?

Samantha V:  My paternal step-grandmother (or I like to call grandmother as well, I've been blessed with 3 grandmas and 3 grandpas), is into Tarot cards and crystals.  When she found out I wanted to learn tarot, she was willing to teach me what she knows.

Terra Graves:  Some of the fans probably want to know how we hooked up with Maria Shaw.  How did you meet her?

Samantha V:  I heard Maria giving her horoscopes for the month on WHNN Oldies 96 on Johnny Burke one morning on my way to work.  I didn't believe in astrology at the time but I had an open mind about it.  I remember my horoscope as well as my parents horoscopes being so right on.  And the free readings she gave people on the show just sounded so accurate.  I wanted to one badly.  So I saved up my money and purchased a full hour reading about my chart from Maria and I couldn't believe all she told me within that hour.  I was stunned.

Terra Graves:   What was it like when Maria asked you to be a part of the fan club?

Samantha V: I was shocked.  I never expected to be apart of Maria's journey.  I kind of figured I'd always be a client and would be someone to refer her services to friends and family and when I was engaged I had planned on hiring her to do my bachelorette party.  Laughs.  But this has been such a great opportunity and this is leading me on the path I really want to be on most, which is getting my writing exposed.  This couldn't have happened without her!

Terra Graves:  Has being a part of the Mara Shaw Show Fan Club changed your life at all?

Samantha V:  If anything, it's made my life busier!  Before the fan club, I woke up, went to work, did my job, came home and did whatever I wanted before going to bed.  And that got boring.  With the fan club, I get to meet new people, possibly make new friends and travel around Michigan.  I also get to do what I love, writing.  I've been praying for a gig like this!

Terra Graves: So your grateful to Maria for all of this?

Samantha V:   You bet.  I consider her a mentor in my metaphysical journey.  She has made a HUGE impact on my life!

Terra Graves: What are some of your hope and dreams for the future?

Samantha V: My hopes and dreams are to live a happy, fulfilled life. I hope to meet several soul mates and past life connections along the way. I hope to meet the right man and settle down and have 3-4 kids. I hope to be financially stable and be able to support myself without man. I hope to be an independent woman. I hope to publish 3 or 4 books someday. I hope that I leave my foot steps in the cement before I leave the Earth plane.

Terra Graves:
  So your available?

Samantha V:
Laughs and winks.

Terra Graves: One last question, as co-president to the Maria Shaw Show Fan Club, is there anything else you would like to say to the fans?

Samantha V:  I just want to say welcome to the club!  And I hope that Terra and I will be able to assist you with anything you might need and we are so glad you are apart of this.  I am looking forward to meeting all of you at the fairs and fan club events we are planning.

Nature Woman
The Terra Graves Interview
By: Samantha Vandefeller

Many of you know by now that Terra Graves is our other fan club co-president.  I had gotten the chance to sit down with her and get to know a side of Terra that I didn't know before.

Samantha Vandefeller: How did you meet Maria?

Terra G: My first fair. I didn't meet Maria.  It was in Midland.  It was the second one I went to after it was switched to Valley Plaza Inn.   I remember she walked up and I swear there was a light shinning from her.  It looked like the energy was flowing through her.  I was drawn to her and liked her instantly.

Samantha Vandefeller: What have you learned from Maria?

Terra G:  How important people are and trying to help them have power in their lives is important!  Maria is always trying to give back to her fans and trying to help them in their path.

Samantha Vandefeller: What are your interests outside of metaphysics?

Terra G: Walking.  I love to be out in nature and out in the woods.  Last year I saw mink, a baby snapper turtle and beavers.  Already this year I've seen otters.

Samantha Vandefeller: What type of readings do you do?

Terra G: Tarot cards mainly.  But I'm learning about past lives and I already can see how past lives are involved in problems when people tell me about them.  It really amazes me how we take left over issues and keep playing it out like a bad play until we morph it into something worth being a part of.

Samantha Vandefeller: What does your family think about you being the co-president of Maria Shaw's fan club?

Terra G:  Actually they are happy about it.  Kinda of surprised me but I've worked really hard and haven't given up so they see this is as a small reward and the right direction for my dreams.

Samantha Vandefeller: Or more importantly, how do YOU feel? Laughs.

Terra G: Upbeat, over the top.  At first I was like 'oh my gosh!!!' and floored.  I could not believe out of all the people Maria must know she picked me!  I know you felt this way too!

Samantha Vandefeller: What do you hope to get out of this experience?

Terra G: I want to be one of her readers!  I always see it and know that is where I want to be.  This is part of that journey.   I'm not sure after that where I want to go since I'm so driven to be a reader full time.  I guess I might relax and enjoy it when it gets here but I don't think so.  I'm a Sag and I'm always looking for something to be a part of.  So I can see me be a reader for Maria and than try to get my group I belong to, which is Amazing Vibrations, to really take off.   The group belongs to Melody, a good friend of mine.

Samantha Vandefeller: Who is your favorite: Joe or Matt?

Terra G: Joe is so quiet at times but Matt is the one I find I can throw a joke at and get a laugh.  I don't know if there is a favorite.  I don't try to look at one person over another as if it is a contest.  I think both would lose if I did or end up getting tangled in the finish line!  Can you see that?  Both of them wrestling! LOL  :)

Samantha Vandefeller: In what ways has being involved in the New Age community changed your life?

Terra G: I feel so much more myself and I'm happy!  I can't explain the difference in knowing you are OK and not nuts.  So many people who have been my friends have not been very supportive of me and tended to give me that look like I'm over the edge and falling.  I can't imagine now with all the people I know going back to a life without friends into New Age.

Samantha Vandefeller: When I first met you, you were very much into past lives and you seemed to know a lot about them.  Do you ever dream of your past lives?

Terra G: See I didn't even realize I was doing this.  Sometimes that is the thing with me.  My guides are always having me do what I need to do without me realizing what is I'm doing.  It's very natural but it kinda bites.  I don't have any idea what I'm into or not until someone points it out.  And I go like DUH to myself. And for dreaming about past lives, I have when I was trying to get into remembering dreams but its not something I really want to do and it was very short.  Like out of a whole life the dreams was a mere two minute snap shot.

Samantha Vandefeller: Did we have a past life together? Or have any past lives with Maria, Matt, or Joe? Laughs.

Terra G: I haven't thought about it.  I know me and Maria have.  I would think we all had to be together at some point and this is the ongoing travels of those moments.  I don't tend to talk about people's past lives without permission because I don't know if they want the world to know about them.

Samantha Vandefeller: What are your favorite books, TV, movies, and music?

Terra G:I like to learn so books right now are past lives.  TV is my mother/daughter moment.  I watch whatever my mom is watching and usually we get into the shows.  Music everything from Mushroomhead or SOAD to Duran Duran.  I like tons of music but my least fave is country.  Only listen to a hand full of songs there.

Samantha Vandefeller: What are your hopes and dreams?

Terra G: To be a good mom to my kids, have lot of family always around and a really good friend.  These are my real dreams!  :)  The ones which matter most to me.  Other than that I guess I would have to say a reader for Maria.

Samantha Vandefeller: What are you hoping to learn on your spiritual journey?

Terra G: I decided to come back again after this life so I can help my friends and keep helping my soul groups.

Samantha Vandefeller: What are you looking forward to about the fan club?

Terra G:  Just meeting the people!  I really like the people who come out to the fairs.  They are always a great bunch and great to talk to.  I don't think they always realize it but I enjoy just hanging out and talking to them.

Samantha Vandefeller: What would you like to see happen with the fan club?

Terra G: I'd like to see us do events, really get some discounts going for club members only and have some one on one time with Maria and the fans.  I've been to the conferences and Maria has answered questions people have about the future and it's neat to sit and listen to her.

Samantha Vandefeller: What do you recommend to others that want to get into metaphysics or study the occult?

Terra Graves: I don't use the word occult because it has so many bad terms and thoughts with it but to answer your question.  Just read, go to fairs, get into the groups if you can find some and make sure you go to Maria's conferences.  Those are amazing!   To hang out and everyone is OK is a feeling I would never want to miss.

Samantha Vandefeller: Is there anything you'd like to say to the people out there reading this? :-D

Terra Graves: We are truly in this together!  I keep coming across people who feel so alone right now.  It just eats me up.  Because we aren't alone.  We can help each other as soul friends and really get though all these rough times.  You are never alone!

The Power of Compliments

Compliments. I love giving compliments to people. I don't mind receiving them either. I never realized that a simple compliment can make someones day. I now remember why I give compliments to people when I really like their hair or outfit. They uplift your soul. I love it when I get comments on my writing when people tell me to write more or that I'm good or my work isn't that bad :) I love being told when a reading is accurate for someone or gives them hope or makes them feel empowered. It makes me feel that I am on the right path. Whether or not you realize it, comments actually guide us on the path we are suppose to be on or let us know we are on the wrong path in life. Sometimes they can be harsh, but we must look at it from a non-biased point of view, which is hard.  But you certainly can try by asking "How does this comment affect my life?" "Is this a message from my angels/guides?" "How can I improve?"

Today I was talking a friend I shall call R (who is a mutual friend of my ex-fiance and I) and he was talking about how people call him Napoleon Dynamite and he hates it. And he looks NOTHING like Napoleon Dynamite. I told him he was cuter than Napoleon Dynamite and that Napoleon Dynamite acted like he was stupid (and R is an intelligent guy). That just made R's night I think and he told me he appreciates compliments and rarely gets them. I told him he was a good person and that made him feel so much better. I felt a shift in his energy.

We learn this stuff in kindergarten! But somewhere along the way, negativity sets in and we forget the golden rule: "Do unto others" or "Treat people the way you want to be treated". You should never say something negative to a person unless you are doing it in their best interest and from love and you will know it's not harsh when it comes out. But you don't go giving advice either, unless it is asked for. That's where "bite your tongue" comes in.   And what I mean by negative comments is like the constructive criticism. That is how you can help someone. And if they don't listen, just let it go. They are meant to learn the hard way (I am one of those people that has to learn the hard way :) )

I originally typed the last three paragraphs last night in my journal. I think my guide wanted me to dictate a message for me to learn and to share with everyone else. Always remember the power of the compliments!
